A compact 25cm Sphagnum moss pole perfect for cuttings or small plants and encouraging growth while retaining water and promoting larger, more mature foliage with prolific air roots. Perfect for a variety of climbing plants. Take the stress out of daily misting with the self watering option.

* The Sphagnum Moss used in this product is not a living moss and is primarily used for its water retention and anti bacterial properties. This moss however can grow under favourable conditions and over several months, new green growth may be observed.

Description

This little pocket rocket cannot wait to be the new support to your plants, encouraging growth and providing nutrients and nurturing to your cutting or small climbing plant. Aptly named Mini Moss, it is the perfect aesthetic addition to your plant cuttings, while retaining water and offering a gentle source of fertilisation for your aerial roots; resulting a strong, happy plant.

The self-watering variant of this moss pole cuts your maintenance time in half by eliminating the need to mist it daily. Our perfected self watering design consists of a braided wicking cord reaching deep into the vessel, which holds 65ml of water, and ends in a plaited bandage covering the surface area of the moss pole, delivering moisture at a steady rate for the moss to stay hydrated; keeping you sane and your little plant happy.

Sphagnum Moss holds up to 3 times its weight in water and has a pH of 5.5, which makes it a perfect accompaniment for Monsteras, Pothos, Syngoniums, Philodendron Micans, Epipremnums and most orchids.

Self Watering

Why hasn’t this been done sooner! Well they tried, but we do it so much better.

The water is wicked up to the top of the pole through capillary action and distributed evenly along the wicking material which is bound to the core of the pole.

The water is then onward absorbed by the moss and delivered to the plant’s aerial roots, as and when required.
